Seeking You in the Wilderness and Getting Lost in Your Words

August 4, 2014 § 1 Comment

The world is such a beautiful place,

Filled with beautiful people doing wonderful things,

But we cloak the wonder and the holy with selfish intentions,

And a greed to hoard all we can hold…

God put us here to harvest, to love, and sing praises,

But all we care to toil with is our phones and our money,

We need a clean, a refresh button to reset our souls,

To take us back to where we had inspiration and were set on a path to grow,

Under Your care, living with You,

We were made to seek You like a lost treasure of gold,

But Abba, You’re my Father, my Comfort, my Home,

And I need to come back to You to be reminded of who I really am.
