I just need the world to stop spinning so I can make sense of all of this,
But it really wouldn’t change a thing…
Tragedy makes us feel senseless, hopeless, lifeless-
But thank God we have a Redeeemer or I would be lost in the fog for good,
Searching for a way out,
When every turn I make looks the same,
Yea, I need to know things will change,
I need to tell, show, and give people Love,
But God, I need to hold on to the fact that we have hope,
Hope in the Christ,
Hope in the days with no more pain, no more tears, no suffering,
Hope of all these scars being washed away…
And Father I know You say you’ve overcome the world-
But the devil sure does a good job of convincing us otherwise…
It’s a tough battle when you lose heart,
So Lord give us some faith, give us some joy, give us some grace,
In these moments what we need most is to be held by You,
In the arms of a neighbor, in the arms of a friend, in the arms of a child,
Lord come show me Your love.
